Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Accountant who has a background in the trading of paints/ building
materials/coatings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for our trading operations via Tally Prime Software.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate and process quotations, purchase orders, sales orders, credit notes, delivery notes, and other relevant documents accurately and promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to procurement, sales, and inventory management.
- Monitor inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure optimal stock levels to meet demand.
- Create and maintain stock records, including tracking quantities, values, and locations.
- Prepare and submit Value Added Tax (VAT) returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to credit purchases, inventory, and other financial aspects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination between sales, procurement, and finance departments.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes and strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in the trading of building materials, paints, or coatings.
- Proficiency in accounting software Tally
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must demonstrate strong self-learning capabilities and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.
- Excellent English communication skills, adept at client negotiation, and proficient in drafting professional emails
